There is something I lack
That I don’t seem to have

It keeps you from feeling
The same as I do

I need to know
I need to understand

I want to learn
To be better than I am

What am I missing
To be the one for you

What am I missing
Be honest with me.

Be Honest with Me

Darkness surrounds me
Stealing something
From my soul

Lights flickering
Looking for the path
Wandering around aimlessly

Hope comes and goes
Dreams fade away
Darkness invades

The Lord is the Light
He can guide my way
Keeping me on the right path

Patience in seeing
Where the path will lead
New visions open up

Paths crossing again
Where and when
Uncertainty remains

Paths

You’re moving on
I’m at the end of my rope
Not knowing what to do
I still cling to hope

Everything is possible with Lord
This is what they say
I so want to believe that
It is truly that way

Yet still I know
HIS plan and not mine
Is what we are following
All one day will be fine

I must follow my heart
And search my soul
Putting faith in HIM
To show me the goal

Where do I go
I haven’t a clue
I’ll take it day by day
With loving thoughts of you

Where do I go

Beauty is all around
You need only look
And you will see
The beauty you bring to me

You smile with those eyes
Like none I’ve ever seen
It almost makes me cry
That we can never be

When I wander off to think
Your beauty haunts me still
I hope for what could be
Though I know it never will

Your beauty brought me back
When I was feeling low
It kept me going
Oh, I need you so

I know this cannot be
Dream though I may
Your beauty will instill
The hope of a future day

For beauty is within you and me
And in all that we see
Someday though, not too soon
Someone will see my beauty too

When that day arrives
For I know it will come
I will thank the beauty in the stars
That you gave to me

The Beauty You Gave

Searching in the light
Lost in the dark
Wandering around aimlessly
Living my life like forced poetry

Reaching for words, scratching for rhyme
One day my search will end
Life is flowing with the words of love,
Words inspired by you

If you were to leave
My life would dead end
No feelings would flow
Through my forced poetry
