Drowinging my sorrows
in a bottle of gin
hoping and praying
that someday I’ll win

Drinking is not the answer
but for now it will have to do
how else will I
work on forgetting about you

It seems the thing
that has to be done
why, oh why?
We have so much fun

It should have been different
I should have known
splitting your love
could only spell doom

You gave me a choice
with no choice involved
I sit here thinking
nothing’s resolved

So I stare into my drink
and drown my sorrows
while I sit here and think
there is are no tomorrows.

Tomorrow Never Comes

Your love, oh so fine
will you give some to me
else I turn away
leaving you free

Love is to precious
save some for me

Kindness is all you showed
allowing me to care
thoughtfulness was your only need
hurt your last desire

you tried to understand me
witnessing the change
everything felt so fine
learning new and old

learning good from bad
so life could go on.

my love is ever growing
in your presence I long to be
my heart is overflowing
with my love for thee

they say chivalry has died
it’s drifted so far away
but it will never die
if I have anything to say

your honor is dear
your wishes divine
your knight in shining armor
is the sole wish of mine

such beauty as yours is rare
it simply mystifies me
the inner quality is there
for all the people to see

your inner qualities abound
so alive and so free
like none that I’ve found
you’re so precious to me

no gem can compare
in beauty or in worth
you’re what I’ve been searching for
since the time of my birth.

Living and sharing
The things they need
Helping each other
Living in harmony

Trees provide and protect
Animals survive and share
All the necessities of life
Living in perfect harmony

The “less” intelligent
Live so free
Free from hate
Free from fear

Lessons to be learned
Of sharing and caring
Why can’t we
Live in that perfect harmony.

Harmony

Beauty is all around
You need only look
And you will see
The beauty you bring to me

You smile with those eyes
Like none I’ve ever seen
It almost makes me cry
That we can never be

When I wander off to think
Your beauty haunts me still
I hope for what could be
Though I know it never will

Your beauty brought me back
When I was feeling low
It kept me going
Oh, I need you so

I know this cannot be
Dream though I may
Your beauty will instill
The hope of a future day

For beauty is within you and me
And in all that we see
Someday though, not too soon
Someone will see my beauty too

When that day arrives
For I know it will come
I will thank the beauty in the stars
That you gave to me
