Days have I waited
Nights have I longed
To hold someone close to me
Searching in the light
Lost in the dark
Wandering around aimlessly
Living my life like forced poetry
Reaching for words, scratching for rhyme
One day my search will end
Life is flowing with the words of love,
Words inspired by you
If you were to leave
My life would dead end
No feelings would flow

Dreams of Old
Visions pass through the night
Sweet dreams of you
Walking hand in hand by the sea
Loving each other and everything
Strange though it may seem
That we’re together now
Different worlds, drifting together
Making us one with each other
Differences seem so small
When we’re close together
Sailing through the clouds
That dreams are made of.
Alas, as the dawn breaks
And the stars fade away,
You slip from my embrace
You were only a dream.

Friends are Forever
Friends are Forever
There are friends all around
Willing to listen
Willing to help
Just wanting to care
These friends are true indeed
Not easy to come by
When you’re in need
But there just the same
Taking the time out to help another
Is the sign of a true friend
Caring about their feelings
Being there is their time of need
Friends are forever
Helping without being asked
Listening when others wouldn’t
Caring for the other above all needs
With friends like this
We can tackle all obstacles
Surmount the tough and rest assured
That friends are forever.

Remember the past
Dream of tomorrow
Live for today
For I will always be your friend
In the past my actions
Have not always been the best
Hanging on too much to
Things since lost
My future dreams may not
Be yours
Hoping for a chance
That may not come again
But for today I will
Hold to the promise I made
Friends we shall be
Friends and no more
Don’t let my dreams
Interfere with our friendship
As a man of honor I know
I must keep my promise
Our friendship is deeper
Than the deepest sea
Stronger than the strongest metal
Our friendship will ever be
Losing you as a friend
Is the worst thing for me
I never want to lose you
And you’ll never lose me
We will always be friends
This much is true

Love
What is Love?
But a mere emotion?
No, love is a special thing
Experienced by all
Love has many shapes and forms
Love of life, friends, parents and God
Are all important parts of life
But none can compare with
the love of a man and a woman
love is a funny thing
you never know what to expect
even when you think
you’ve got it licked
Just then it will throw you
And you’ll have to think
What is love really about?
Is it just for a selected few?
Many a time have
I stopped to think
Why me? What have I done
To deserve such punishment?
Punishment, no. It’s the price
For trying but not quite succeeding
Why then try, if you haven’t any luck
‘cause one of these days your luck will change
then and only then will you
be able to experience
the true emotion called love.
That day, though may seem far away
Could be right around the corner
And when it comes you’ll be ready
For love will guide you
