To Love Again
Didn’t think I’d see the day
My heart would be so full
But love found a way
To bring me back
Thinking of you
During the day and night
Wondering what to do
How best to show my love
I hope you can see
The love and hope
I have for you and me
Is strong enough to survive
Not knowing how to share
Exactly what’s in my heart
Wondering if I should dare
To open up my soul
Hoping I have the strength
To see this through to the end
To show myself it’s ok
To love again.
2/21/10
As the sun rises
Majestically over the bay
So do my hopes
Of a future with you
Reds and yellows
Blues and greens
The colors of the morning
Glistening in the dew
Sounds of the wildlife
Greeting the new day
My heart rejoices
With what this new day brings
Visions of you
Coming to share
The glory in this world
With family and friends.
Wandering aimlessly
Lost in translations
Where will it lead
Catching a glimpse
Seeing a hint
Of faith renewed
The heart starts to beat
The feet start to dance
The soul smiles once again
Slow and steady
The heart smiles
Faith is renewed
There is an answer
Down the dusty road
Dancing its way home
The face behind the smile
Reveals the heart behind
And the soul within
Clarity will come
Smiling all the way
To renew the life within

Curly reddish hair
Smile on the face
Raggedy Ann
Taking over your space
In the middle of the night
I make believe it is you
Holding her hand
I don’t feel so blue
A part of me connected
To a distant love
I pray each night
For guidance from above
With hope I believe
That one day I can
Come together with you
And be your Raggedy Man

I miss your smiles
And the love in your eyes
I miss the time we spent
Playing games with the kids
I miss the times we would talk
I know that it takes two
I miss your laughter
It could be so contagious
I miss holding and touching you
You filled my life with joy
I miss the softness of you lips
When we used to kiss
I miss watching you sleep
You always looked so beautiful
I miss waking up next to you
My mornings began will a smile
I miss my better half
The one who makes me whole
If I am granted one more chance
I won’t miss telling you so.
